Did you know that some of the oldest cells in the human body are neurons, which last a lifetime?
Not every cell in the human body has the same lifespan. Some die and are replaced faster than others. Most human cells don’t last as long as a human being, but neurons (our nerve cells) are an exception. Most of them are present in people’s bodies when they’re born. An infant body can manufacture more, but as you grow older, most scientists say you lose that ability and have to stick with what you have. Most of your nerve cells have to live as long as you do.
